Burgundians, bon vivants and patriarchs of the Lower Countries. Dukes Philip the Good & Charles the Bold played a crucial role in shaping Dutch history in 1464. During their reign, the flamboyant dukes brought quality and style to the North and were at the beginning of what we now call "the burgundian lifestyle." In this era, we play a crucial role in the formation of the Dutch burgundian landscape and represent the burgundian legacy of our forgotten heroes, Philip the Good & Charles the Bold.
De Goed & De Stoute
De Goede & De Stoute is a Dutch brewing house, named after the grand dukes of gastronomy: Philip the Good & Charles the Bold. Father and son from Burgundy. They were the architects of the current state system in the Lowlands. But also the bringers of the "good" life in the Netherlands. This in a time of princes, crusades and conquests. Always in for adventure and standing for what they believed in: the Burgundian lifestyle, which we all enjoy today.
